By an Alexander McQueen biopic in the works to H&M’s new Conscious beauty lineup, these are the top global fashion news reports of this week.
Alexander McQueen Biopic to Be Created
A biopic of the incredible life of designer, (Lee) Alexander McQueen is now in the works. The movie is set to be led at Andrew Haigh, that has worked on projects such as ’45 Years’ and ‘Weekend’. Playwright, Chris Urch will be delivering the script Damian Jones is said to be on board to make.
Although production isn’t anticipated to start until the end of 2016, it is very likely that the movie will pay for McQueen’s extraordinary gain in the fashion business and tragic death at age 40. McQueen grew up in London and began his career as an apprentice about the legendary Savile Row. He then attended Central Saint Martin’s prior to launching his own set. McQueen also functioned as head designer at luxury fashion label, Givenchy from 1996 to 2001. Though his life was filled with incredible accomplishments, it was filled with personal struggles which lead to his suicide in 2010.

Taylor Swift’s Clothing Line Debuts in Hong Kong Fashion Week
Taylor Swift’s clothing line made its debut this week at Hong Kong Fashion Week. Made in cooperation with Heritage 66, the line has been formally released but is only available in China for now. The decision to first release in China is due to Taylor’s enormous fan-base from the nation as well as a saturation of Taylor Swift knock-off products which the new line expects to combat.
The launch consisted of a tiny runway-type show in the trade occasion. Her tunes played through speakers since the models strutted round the area although Taylor was not there herself. Crop shirts, graphic tees, mini dresses and jumpers printed with Taylor’s lyrics and name all made appearances in the scope.
All happy cause I got a brand new dress and also because Shanghai audiences are insane.
