Eleven of the world’s top designers have teamed up to support charity and also celebrate the upcoming release of Star Wars: The Force Awakens. Diane von Furstenberg, Opening Ceremony, Halston, Billy Reid, Cynthia Rowley, Giles Deacon, Ovadia & Sons, Parker, Rag & Bone, Timo Weiland, and Todd Snyder have all released one-of-a-kind layouts for its Force 4 Fashion design initiative.
Working together with Disney and Bloomingdale’s, the group of designers each created trendy ensembles motivated by the soon-to-be-released J.J. Abrams movie. Custom-created by every designer with regard to the film’s costume design, the pieces reflect the style and spirit of specific characters.
Standout pieces from this selection of sci-fi fashion include Ovadia and Sons reimagined Storm Trooper armour and Billy Reid’s Chewbacca-inspired brown shearling coat. While older characters were favoured, consumers were also introduced into sartorial styles representing new personalities into the saga such as Rey and Captain Phasma played by Daisy Ridley and Gwendoline Christie.
