Plus Size Model Ashley Graham Truth About Body Piercing
In the past few years there was a movement towards accepting varying body shapes in the fashion industry, and plus size versions such as Ashley Graham are leaving their mark — she is also the first plus size version to appear in Sports Illustrated swimsuit issue at 2015. But Ashley didn’t always love her entire body, in actuality, there was a time when she believed she was “ugly.”
According to Yahoo, Graham disclosed her secret for keeping up a positive body image during a visit to Camp Pocono Trails, where she advised campers that she had felt, “disgusting” and “ugly.” But after she understood that her attitude was detrimental, she became more self-accepting and learnt to love herself, flaws and all.
“I read in a book which, if I actually looked myself in the mirror and said, [‘I am beautiful, and I do have a great body,’] and supposed it daily, it was going to happen. I began enjoying my body, I started working out and taking good care of myself,” Graham confessed. It’s great information, and something that we should all practise.
