Meghan Markle Married Prince Harry
In the most expected fashion moment of the year, Meghan Markle married her prince at the royal wedding. The TV actress turned princess stunned the whole world within her gorgeous off the shoulder white gown. It featured long sleeves along with a boat neckline and has been created by British designer, Clare Waight Keller for Givenchy. Markle wore a very low bun along with a diamond bandeau tiara, belonging to Queen Mary. Ms Waight Keller has been appointed as the first female artistic director of French fashion house Givenchy this past year. Markle decided to work with her due to “her timeless and tasteful aesthetic, impeccable tailoring, and relaxed demeanour,” a Kensington Palace press release stated. Meghan’s amazing extra long veil comprised distinctive floral designs from all 53 states in the commonwealth. It had been five meters long and made from silk tulle with hand embroidered flowers.

The ad for Gucci’s new range of jewelry and timepieces features Hedren as a mysterious fortune teller. Hedren is imagined reading a crystal ball and the palms of young models. She wears layered gold bangles and bracelets with the label’s signature snake inspired rings. She also wears a Gucci print apparel made by Alessandro Michele. The campaign is the most up-to-date in an emerging trend of designers embracing age diversity. Balmain Supports Actresses of Colour Creating a Statement About Allergic Inclusivity at Cannes
Cannes Film Festival has been among the most anticipated fashion events of the year. However, this year’s 71st yearly film festival has seen some quite various fashion statements. Sixteen black actresses have taken a stand against racial inclusivity. All dressed in Balmain, the girls stood united with French celebrity Aïssa Maïga to boost awareness for their job, “Noire N’est Pas Mon Metier” so, “Black Is Not My Profession”.
The project aims to expose the discrimination faced by women of color in the French and American amusement businesses. Olivier Rousteing of Balmain was approached by Maïga to make the outfits for the girls. Rousteing agreed, saying that he “recognised the discrimination the women have confronted and wished to express his support for their project.” The likes of Nadège Beausson-Diagne, Mata Gabin, Maïmouna Gueye, Eye Haidara and Rachel Khan were one of the women. Models Fight Sexual Misconduct
Over 100 versions have set their names on a open letter demanding an end to sexual misconduct. As versions, our images serve industrial purposes, but our bodies stay ours.” Ziff says the fashion industry has yet to take action against a ton of sexual misconduct claims. The alliance suggests stronger, enforceable workplace standards to protect models including, prior agreements for underage models to pose naked, a protected complaints process and a neutral body to investigate complaints. Ziff hopes over the forthcoming weeks, designers and brands will commit to those new standards.
