We’ve travelled to London many times in preceding years to attend London Fashion Week. During those short trips we explored art and fashion from the UK’s capital town, but not really had an opportunity to see London from a locals’ view. This is what made this particular trip with
One of the highlights of the London trip was our visit to the Columbia street blossom markets, Portobello and Brick Lane markets. The unbelievable variety of stalls and stores exhibited classic and brand new items full of character and imagination. We seen locals and tourists picking statement denim bits and vintage military jackets and styling them with their very own creative flare.
London fashion is classified as a global enterprise, some of the leading London fashion designers like Mary Katratzou, Peter Pilotto and Erdem have international roots, resulting in no single way to explain London fashion. From a personal observation, some of the most unusual and innovative outfits can be found on the roads of London, not just during London Fashion Week but on another day.
While London is famous for being an global hub of artistic self-expression, Paris is about cultural heritage and driving imagination. Paris is one of the world’s leaders in the fashion industry and is home to some of the most reliable designer houses such as Chanel, Dior, Givenchy, Chloe, Hermès, Lanvin, Louis Vuitton and many more. Authentic fashion and innovation is in the core of French culture and Paris is your sponsor for some of the best that the nation has to offer you.
Parisians are forward thinkers with a strong sense of heritage. Their urge to preserve the history and excel at whatever they do is greatly admired. They are famous for pushing the bounds of the standard, adhering to the grand scale strategy, and observing the quest for perfection.
We admire spontaneity and bravery in Western style; it inspires us personally and brings us straight back to Europe each year. We journey to London and Paris to capture authentic fashion, creative characters, and the works of established and young designers. The traditional elegance and innovative style is found on and off the runways and despite the growing number of photographers and internet influencers, everyone catches the minute in their own distinct way.
The road fashion scene is growing each year, with more fashion lovers from all over the world connecting the match in their own carefully planned announcement outfits. Paris and London host a few of the most popular designer shows and attract the biggest crowds of photographers, bloggers, fashion editors, stylists and celebrities from all around the world. The ‘runway’ starts on the streets and does not finish when Fashion week does. We are sure to be here to catch it.
We are always watching out for its trend setters, creative individuals, classic icons and inspirational characters. We look at trend from a design perspective and customer perspective. We watch the practice of creating the garments and capture them being styled with character on the streets and around the runways.
When we return in our travel experiences and what we have learned from this trip, we think of the spontaneous new discoveries and inspirational styles. We remember the special moments we shared together with new friends as well as the areas we visited.
